1)	Everything should be done on time. Sometimes postponement can spoil person’s reputation and even make him lose the trust of other people.
2)	Danforth is very concerned about his reputation. He even doesn’t care about the death of innocent people. He is elfish and thinks only about his own good.
3)	Danforth is talking to Hale (in the morning of the execution).

1)	Miller wants us to think that people don’t want to admit the truth if their wrong because you cant turn back anymore.
2)	It reveals that Dansforth might know that hes wrong about the trials and executions.

1)	Miller wants us to know that you need to be truthful; secrets don’t make friends. Even though John tried to hide it from Elizabeth she already felt suspicious
2)	It reveals that Elizabeth knew something was wrong once she kissed him. She already knew about John’s affair.
3)	Elizabeth to Proctor. (Before he’s about to confess)

1)	People do not know how to express their love sometimes, therefore people suspect a lot of thing.
2)	Elizabeth’s motive is to save Proctor’s life
3)	Elizabeth speaking to Proctor

1)	Miller want us to think about how you should decide on your life without other’s decision that may affect.
2)	This quote reveals that Elizabeth trusts whatever decision Proctor makes and that she’ll support him
3)	Elizabeth is talking to Proctor whether he will confess or not. The significance is that they tried to have Elizabeth to convince Proctor to confess.

Quotation #4 – “Let Rebecca go like a saint, for me it is a fraud.... I am John Proctor! You will not use me!”
1)	Miller wants us to see how this character really is. In this case, an honest person that doesn’t fear any consequences.
2)	He reveals that he doesn’t like to play along with anybody’s games and doesn’t need help from anyone.
3)	In this quote, John Procter is speaking to Elizabeth. Proctor is telling Elizabeth that he will do whatever he needs to do

Quotation #5 – “And there's your first marvel, that I can. You have made your magic now for I do think I see some shred of goodness in John Proctor.”
1)	Miller wants us to think about how there are times in your life where you must repent for you sins and pay a price before you can feel at ease with yourself.
2)	This quote is significant because it shows that Proctor has made up his mind and will not give them his name, meaning he is going to hang. He finally sees some good in himself.
3)	This quote is from Proctor to Hale after he just confessed and ripped up the confession paper.

1)	Miller wants us to think about the reasons one will or will not put aside morals or pride in order to save their life from an injustice similar to the one Proctor lost his life from.
2)	The quote reveals that Proctor sees enough goodness within himself that is not worth giving up for his life.
3)	Proctor is talking to Danforth, Parris, and Hale about his retraction of his “confession”.

Seventh Period

Quotation #1 – “Postponement now speaks a floundering on my part.”
1)	People are willing to lie even though they know they are wrong.
2)	Danforth is willing to keep a lie going so he can be right.
3)	Danforth is talking to Parris and Hale. Hale wants Danforth to postpone the hanging to get more people to confess. The significance of this quote is that Danforth doesn’t want to be wrong.

1)	Don’t let the past affect what you do in the present.
2)	Danforth is not sure if postponement in an option because 12 people have already been executed and the village expects 7 more people to die.
3)	Danforth to Parris and Hale.

1)	Life is too short to hold grudges.
2)	Elizabeth is being honest. She wants him to know how she felt.
3)	Elizabeth is talking to Proctor. Most of the problems in Elizabeth and Proctor’s marriage were caused by her suspicion.

1)	miller is trying to tell us that we should be thankful for everything we have. elizabeth as an example had been really suspicious about Proctor. we should have trust and we shouldnt hold a grudge to anyone especially the ones we love the most.
2)	Sins have been tormenting proctor and he is unable to allow a second sin to overcome his life. able to rekindle lost love. does not blame him for arrair.
3)	Elizabeth is talkin to proctor, the significance of this quote is that elizabeth finally realizes how to explain her love to him. she finally realizes that she is a naturally suspicious person and how cold she has treated him.

1)	The only people that can judge you is yourself and God because if someone judges you it doesn’t count because they don’t know you.
2)	This reveals that Elizabeth isn’t judgemental and she is very religious because she mentions God.
3)	Elizabeth is saying this to Hathorne and Proctor and they are talking about Proctor’s execution.

1)	Miller wants us to know that people with strong convictions stick to what they believe no matter what, whether or not he will die.
2)	Proctor wants Rebecca to “go like a saint” for he’s the guilty one. The second part of the quote explains that John Proctor doesn’t want to lie and be like the rest. John Proctor doesn’t feel what Puritans are doing with bad people. He wants to die leaving a bad note to himself.
3)	Proctor speaking to Elizabeth before Proctor is to be executed.

1)	Horrible things can give you peace at heart. A good deed overcomes a bad one.
2)	John Proctor is accepting his death. He now realizes by dying he gains his goodness.
3)	John is speaking to Hale about his death and how Hale brought him to peace.
