Remember, your homework is due at the beginning of class, BEFORE the bell rings. Also, please remember to have your homework ready to turn in when you come back to class after missing a day or two. Essentially, what that means is that if you miss Monday, then on Tuesday you need to turn in both Monday and Tuesday homework to get credit. Homework is the easiest way to practice your skills and improve. Choose to do every assignment, one day at a time, and you will do fine.
Also, when you look at the your grade and see a yellow highlight, that color signifies a warning to you that you are below a 74% or C average in that particular standard (homework or assessments). If you see a red highlight, that color signifies a definite emergency--you are below a 60% or D average in that particular standard. Either color is grounds for me, your sensei, asking you to join me at lunch or after school for tutoring or homework assistance.
Lastly, some of you may have difficulties viewing the homework pages that have hiragana and kanji on them. If you have problems, first try going to the View menu on your web browser and changing the Encoding to UTF-8, or to Japanese (there are several choices usually). If that doesn't work, try enabling the Asian Fonts on your computer. A very easy to understand video description of this process for Windows Vista can be found Here and for Windows XP Here.
